Offspring
BCG & Travel Clinic

The team at Offspring Child Health Specialists is dedicated to providing immunisation protection for your children no matter where they visit. World travel can be fun and educational for kids, but you need to make certain your children’s health is safeguarded with necessary vaccinations from the paediatric team at Offspring.

About the BCG & Travel Clinic

BCG is the name of the vaccination that protects against tuberculosis, a potentially serious bacterial disease. Babies, infants and young children who will be travelling or living outside Australia in certain areas, such as India, China, Vietnam and other countries in Asia, Africa and South America, will need the BCG vaccine to protect against tuberculosis. The BCG vaccine should be administered 4-6 weeks prior to departure to give enough time for the vaccine to be effective. We can also provide additional appropriate vaccinations for a journey anywhere in the world to kids and adolescents of every age at our Travel Clinic. Vaccines can be administered on the day of your appointment. A referral will be required for your appointment to be eligible for a medicare rebate.
