Carla is a dedicated and highly experienced Paediatric Nurse with a passion for helping children and their families. Since graduating from the University of Melbourne in 2008 with her Nursing Degree, Carla has been a Registered Nurse at the Royal Children’s Hospital, where she discovered her calling in paediatrics and further specialised by completing her Paediatric Postgraduate Diploma.

Carla’s extensive career at the Royal Children’s Hospital has provided her with a broad range of skills across various specialities, including Orthopaedics, Cardiology, Emergency, general surgical and medical wards, and Neonatal Intensive Care. Her commitment to improving patient care led her to serve as a Metabolic Nurse Consultant for four years, while concurrently being instrumental in establishing and running the Royal Children’s Hospital PEG (Gastrostomy) Clinic, a role she continues to excel in today as a senior nurse.

Beyond her professional achievements, Carla holds a deep personal understanding and passion for the disability sector, actively advocating for individuals and families whenever possible.

At Offspring Health, Carla plays a crucial role in providing comprehensive care. She runs the Gastrostomy clinic, supports Gastroenterologists with patient coordination and care, and assists with iron infusions. Additionally, where possible, Carla offers valuable assistance with general paediatric and developmental queries, including some guidance in navigating the NDIS and other support services.
