Dr Eliza Honybun
PhD, MPsych(Clinical Neuropsychology)
Dr Eliza Honybun is an AHPRA-registered psychologist with endorsement in Clinical Neuropsychology and PhD from the University of Melbourne. She has a special interest in epilepsy and other neurological conditions that affect brain development.
Eliza has worked across public hospitals and university research centres, supporting individuals from a wide range of neurological, neurodevelopmental, medical, and cultural backgrounds. She has particular expertise in working with children with epilepsy, intellectual disability and developmental delay, autism spectrum disorder, and co-occurring psychiatric and behavioural difficulties.
She offers comprehensive neuropsychological assessments and therapeutic support, with a strong focus on translating findings into practical, personalised strategies to promote participation at home, school, and in the community. Eliza is known for her warm, grounded, and family-centred approach to her work, and is passionate about helping families navigate the cognitive, emotional, and behavioural challenges that often accompany complex medical and developmental conditions.
In addition to her clinical work, Eliza is a postdoctoral research fellow at Austin Health and the University of Melbourne, where she leads several national studies focused on cognitive and mental health outcomes in children with severe, rare epilepsies
