Dr Bridget Simpson
Paediatric Allergist and Immunologist

Bridget completed her medical degree at the University of Queensland in 2007. She spent several years working in a range of specialties across Brisbane and Sydney including plastic surgery, obstetrics, emergency medicine and psychiatry as well as completing a Fellowship in General Practice before finally realising her true passion lay in caring for children. She completed her early paediatric training across south-east Queensland then moved to Melbourne to pursue specialty training in Paediatric Immunology and Allergy at Epworth Richmond and The Royal Children’s Hospital.
Bridget is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and a member of the Australasian Society of Clinical Immunology and Allergy (ASCIA). She feels an intense privilege and sense of responsibility in providing care to children and their families in all areas of the specialty including food/drug/insect allergy, eczema, asthma, allergic rhinitis as well as investigation of recurrent infections and other disorders of the immune system. She has a particular interest in early infant feeding and its vital role in allergy prevention.
