FAQ

1. Is a referral necessary?

A referral is not required for your child to attend our clinic. However, if your general dentist has recommended a visit regarding a specific concern, providing us with as much information as possible is helpful.

2. What are the treatment costs?

Determining the cost prior to assessing your child is challenging. During the initial appointment, an individualised treatment plan will be created, and the associated costs will be provided. The initial visit expenses will vary based on the required treatment and whether x-rays are needed to formulate the plan.

3. Can I claim through my private health insurance at your clinic?

Yes, we offer HICAPS for those with private health insurance, enabling immediate claiming for services rendered. Alternatively, you can settle invoices upfront and then submit claims to your private health fund either in person or online.

4. When should I schedule my child’s appointment?

The Australian Academy of Paediatric Dentistry recommends that children should have their first dental visit by 12 months old or when their first tooth emerges, whichever comes first. During this initial visit, our Paediatric Dentists provide guidance to caregivers and conduct a brief oral examination. Subsequent recall visits are scheduled based on the individual needs of each patient. If you haven’t brought your child to the dentist and they are older, there’s no need to worry. It’s never too late to start. However, if possible, it’s better to bring your child before any issues arise, allowing us to focus on preventive care rather than treatment.
