Sarah is a general paediatrician who will be completing her second fellowship in clinical genetics and metabolic medicine with Royal Australasian College of Physicians in December 2016. Sarah cares for a wide range of both acute and chronic medical conditions in children from birth to adolescence. She has particular interests in newborn health, developmental delays/ regression, learning difficulties, autism spectrum disorders, genetic and metabolic conditions. Sarah is also interested in seeing children who are experiencing challenges to hearing, vision and toileting.

Sarah was awarded her medical degree with honours in 2006 from the University of Tasmania. In addition to her training in genetics and metabolic medicine at the Royal Children’s Hospital (RCH), she has participated in the Community Child Health Program conducted by RCH. Sarah has also worked at Monash Medical Centre and trained in a number of specialist clinics for developmental disabilities and specific genetic syndromes (e.g., DiGeorge syndrome).

As a mother herself, Sarah understands the many challenges and changes that come from having children and wants to support families so that their children reach their full developmental potential. When Sarah is not working, she enjoys baking with her daughter and reading Philippa Gregory novels about English history.
